Yesterday I was out showing homes in the Central Corridor…meaning Downtown Metro Phoenix, and three of the six listings I showed had inaccurate information on them.
Of these three…ALL of them were very easy to spot the errors. For example…there was a pool and no pool was listed. At another home there was a great room and it was listed as having a formal living and dining room. And the BEST one? It was listed as a single family home and it was a townhouse!
This rattles me for a number of reasons. First, it is a waste of my client’s time and my time looking at homes that are not suited. I know often times folks end up buying something UNLIKE what they originally talk about…but that is their decision. It is not fair for agents to mis-represent listings. And I have to think it is simply haste and not proof reading that is the problem.
We have a GREAT MLS search and it is easy to get specific for buyer clients based on what they tell me they are looking for. But with the huge inventory we have … it is sometimes difficult to narrow down the search to a manageable number of homes. Wasting time showing places that have pools when I know they do not want a pool…makes us all look bad as professionals.
So…please…check your listings for accuracy and help me to help YOU sell them!
